What locals are saying
Building 64 is a newly activated (October 2024) former 1940s naval storehouse at Navy Yard Charleston, converted into a roughly 38,000-square-foot event and arts venue by local reggae figure David 'Big Hair' Brisacher of Big Hair Productions. It has quickly built a following for large-scale music and cultural events like Kulture Klash and Nightmare at the Navy, but as a dedicated wedding venue it has virtually no local review trail yet — locals know it primarily as a concert and immersive-experience space, not a bridal destination. The industrial architecture (vaulted ceilings, clerestory windows, pitched-monitor roof) draws genuine enthusiasm, but couples considering it for a wedding are essentially pioneering the use case.
