What locals are saying
One of Upper King's splashiest 2024 openings, Legami brought genuine Michelin-pedigreed Italian ambition to a restored building whose hand-painted palm walls and Carrara marble tables already justify the reservation. The dinner menu — hamachi crudo in charcoal olive oil, king crab tagliolini, a shrimp-noodle pasta crowned with caviar — has found its footing after a rocky early run that left some first-month diners underwhelmed. The wine list is a legitimate standout for Charleston, and the room rewards lingering; brunch, however, is a different story, drawing real frustration and best skipped for now.
