Bevi Bene planted a distinctly Italian flag in Charleston's already-crowded upper peninsula brewery district, carving out a niche as the city's only lager-and-hard-kombucha-focused taproom. The 5,000-square-foot space at The Lumberyard — high ceilings, lush greenery, Mediterranean warmth, and a JULU mural big enough to clock from I-26 — punched well above its size as an event and gathering destination. The house lager and Adriatic Lumiere drew early fans, but as of early 2026 the taproom appears to have closed, a notable stumble for a concept that had genuine local momentum.
