What locals are saying
Fam's is the James Island brewpub that earned its footing the honest way — Famulari's Pizzeria has been slinging pies since 2008, and the on-site brewery, added in 2017, gives the whole operation a reason to linger. Twenty taps, two full bars, and a 3,000-square-foot dog-friendly biergarten make the draw obvious; both the thin-crust New York and deep-dish Chicago styles hold up, with the dark beers drawing particular loyalty. Occasional food-quality inconsistencies surface — specific toppings and certain dishes miss — but the overall reputation for consistency is solid enough that it functions as the de facto post-beach decompression spot for the Folly Road corridor.
