An itinerary, not a list. Six stops, breakfast to last call.
If you only had one day. Built for a friend visiting for the first time who doesn't want to spend it in a tour group. Walk where you can; drive only when you must.

8am. Cardamom bun + espresso. Walk it down East Bay toward the Battery.

11am. Drive to Johns Island. It's 400+ years old, free, and there's nothing between you and it.

1pm. Pull up to upper King for a pulled-pork sandwich and a side of greens. Eat outside.

6pm. Sunset on the marsh, cluster oysters, beer in a can. The most Charleston meal there is.

8:30pm. The serious dinner. Reserve weeks out. Tomato tarte tatin in summer, ricotta gnocchi always.

11pm. Last drink. Old movies on the wall, classic cocktails, no playlist drama.
