Pianist Maki Namekawa performs all twenty of Philip Glass's Piano Etudes in a single sitting at the Gaillard Center downtown. The etudes, composed over several decades, are among Glass's most intimate works — technically demanding but quietly meditative, tracing the arc of his minimalist language from the 1990s through the 2010s.
It's a rare opportunity to hear the full cycle performed live in one afternoon. Tickets are available for this 5:00 PM Sunday concert at one of Charleston's premier performance venues.
