One of the Lowcountry's most beloved grassroots music gatherings, the Barn Jam brings original live music to the open-air stage at Awendaw Green every Wednesday night, rain or shine. Set beneath a canopy of live oaks just north of Charleston on Highway 17, it's an unplugged, community-driven affair that draws local and regional musicians along with a loyal crowd of regulars.
Doors are at 6 p.m., and at $5 a head, it's one of the better deals in the area for a night of authentic, roots-forward sounds. Bring a lawn chair, grab a drink, and settle in — this one has a way of stretching into the evening.
