What locals are saying
Station 27 sits on the quieter eastern stretch of Sullivan's Island, past the restaurant cluster and summer crowds that congregate around Stations 21–22. The walk to the water is notably short compared to the island's longer mid-section boardwalks, and the beach here is wide enough to breathe, with sandbars visible at low tide and para-sailers working the water in summer. This end of the island carries mild erosion pressure, and rock jetties start making their presence felt as you move east — but that tradeoff buys genuine solitude on a barrier island that already skews local over tourist.
