What locals are saying
Salud fills a real gap in Hanahan's strip-mall Mexican landscape — the side patio alone, routinely described as magazine-worthy, signals that someone put genuine thought into this place. The birria quesadilla with consommé draws the most passionate locals, and the steak street tacos with their radish-and-pickled-onion garnish show similar care. The tequila half of the name is shakier ground: pricing runs high for the neighborhood and the margarita program has produced some serious swings in quality, with at least a few visitors calling the cocktails the weak link.
