What locals are saying
Open since 2009, Fuji has earned its position as a Mt. Pleasant sushi anchor — New York-trained chefs, above-average portion sizes, and rolls like the Double Tuna and Tanaka that hold up as legitimate reasons to cross the bridge. Prices run $2–$4 higher per roll than the strip-mall competition, a premium most regulars accept without argument. A pocket of dissent exists around delivery and non-sushi items: quality control on takeout orders has slipped for some, and smaller plates like the short rib buns have drawn complaints about portion-to-price ratio that are hard to dismiss.
